Scope of Responsibilities
Process safety representative in the Integrity team Capable of performing general duties with no direct supervision and within agreed schedules and budgets. Liaises with other disciplines on the team to identify integrity issues on executed projects Supports the Project Management Team in planning, identifying technical issues which could limit progress, impact project budgets.
This role requires an experienced process safe engineer to review designs and identify integrity issues. The focus is on process safety rather than more general loss prevention.
- Will identify process safety integrity issues as a part of a multi-disciplinary integrity review team.
- Technically responsible for integrity work.
- Capable of identifying process safety issues and formulating resolutions in technically challenging and/or high profile projects.
- Ensures compatibility and conformance with client specifications and recommends cost effective improvements to equipment selection/specifications within the scope of client specifications and requirements.
Decision Making Authority
Decisions limited to the scope of project requirement specifications.
High level individual contributor who is seen as an expert in their area. There may be some ad hoc supervision of junior engineers as required.
Physical Effort and Work Environment
Duties essentially performed in Main Office. Required to travel to other offices, Client’s offices, vendor workshops, and attend site visits as necessary, in accordance with corporate or project requirements.
Exposure to Consultancy, FEED/ Detailed Design and EPC projects. In depth knowledge of Process Safety issues such as flare design and pressure systems Hazard identification and risk assessment Safety studies such as consequence modeling, QRA, EERA and ESSA Knowledge of international equipment specifications and codes. In depth knowledge of standard international specifications and codes. Knowledge of Safety and Quality procedures. Activity scheduling and discipline work priorities.

Typically Masters Degree in Science or Engineering. Chartered Status preferred. Significant related experience working for Engineering/ Client organisations in the Oil and Gas Industry
