They design and manufacture active and passive avionics antennas and electronic control systems for military and civil communications, navigation and search and rescue applications.


Job Description


Our client are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to:


  • Provide quality function expertise based upon a strong foundation of knowledge and experience.

  • Establish stakeholder relationships that foster a positive partnership.

  • Facilitate resolution of customer issues.

  • Provide technical support during the life cycle of assigned products.

  • Offer support and knowledge of quality philosophies and disciplines to internal and external customers in the coordination of quality improvement efforts.


  • Develop the Quality Engineering function through training and mentoring.

  • Manage and lead the Quality Audit Management program.

  • Lead cross-functional corrective action and/or continuous improvement teams in significant quality activities or programs.

  • Deploy significant quality expertise to provide tangible benefit to the organisation (product cost, quality, metrics etc.).

  • To use the latest quality, problem solving techniques and best working practices.

  • Lead, Liaise with and coordinate other quality team members to ensure that all relevant Quality metrics are recorded utilised and appropriate to their purpose.

  • Ensure proper handling of non-conformities and customer complaints, assuring that the root causes are clearly defined and that corrective actions are put in place and accomplished and that necessary documentation is properly prepared and distributed.

  • Lead Quality issue investigation and resolution using 8D problem solving techniques.

  • Identify, develop and implement systems that will assure product conformance to specifications.

  • Work within the organization to execute changes and improvements to the quality management system.

  • Support Failure Mode avoidance activities (PFMEA/DFMEA etc.).

  • Creation and control of PPAP/ISIR documentation for internal and external parts.


  • Degree in an Engineering discipline is preferable, but not essential.

  • Must have experience of quality engineering tools.

  • Previous experience of working with cross functional teams.

  • Demonstrable success within a similar position in a relevant industry; ideally Aerospace.

  • Understanding of Aerospace, Quality System and Regulatory Standards (AS 9100).

  • EASA experience is desirable.

  • Programme, project and time management skills.
