A fantastic opportunity for a Group Financial Accountant has become available with a leading independent oil exploration and production company based in London on a permanent basis. The main focus of this client is on finding and monetising oil in Africa and the Atlantic regions.

Providing high quality monthly, half-yearly and year-end consolidated financial results, detailed financial analysis and reconciliation. Other aspects of the role will include:
Preparing of the monthly consolidated reporting, ensuring adherence with guidelines, policies, and recommended accounting practice.
Providing analysis and insight related to actual reported results.
Assisting Business Unit finance teams in resolving any technical accounting and process issues or queries and in ensuring the monthly consolidation is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Providing guidance on technical accounting matters, including the preparation of key documents and papers for consideration by the Audit Committee
Coordinating and preparing of the half year and year end results disclosures and financial statements.
The client are currently interested in speaking with candidates who are qualified accountants and are experience with the application and understanding of IFRS policies and processes. Understanding the processes and controls of effective financial systems. Strong Data analysis skills with intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Excel. You will also have proven skills and experience with stakeholder management in a multinational and multicultural environment.
