Role

 

Our client is looking to recruit a Drainage Engineer for a contract in the Derbyshire area.

 

Derbyshire County Council Drainage Engineer

 

Matlock (Hybrid Working) – 2 days per week in the office

 

6 Month Contract with potential to extend

 

Inside IR35

 

37.5 hours per week

 

BPSS

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage cyclic, reactive, and planned works on the highway drainage network
  • Undertake site inspections and surveys as required
  • Support the collection and management of data relating to highway drainage assets
  • Provide timely and appropriate responses to customer and service user enquiries

 

Skills & Experience Required:

 

  • BTec Higher in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with relevant post-qualification experience
  • Strong technical and practical problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in highway drainage asset management and maintenance, or transferable skills from a similar field

 

These roles will work closely with other services across the Highways Division to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
