Our client has a requirement for a Senior Civil Water Engineer, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Manchester or Leeds.
Role Purpose:
To lead and deliver high-quality civil engineering designs and technical solutions for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The role will support the successful delivery of large-scale infrastructure programmes across the UK, with opportunities to contribute to international projects.
Job Role Responsibilities:
- Lead multidisciplinary teams in the delivery of civil engineering design solutions.
- Develop and review design deliverables for water and wastewater treatment, storage, supply, and collection systems.
- Manage project scopes, budgets, and timelines in alignment with client requirements.
- Support the preparation of technical briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure technical excellence and compliance with UK standards.
- Promote digital design methods using tools such as HADES, InfoWorks, or EPANET.
- Ensure adherence to quality assurance and health & safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:
- Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng) – essential.
- Proven experience in the water and/or wastewater sector, ideally with a focus on infrastructure and treatment solutions.
- Strong working knowledge of UK water industry design standards and practices.
- Proficient in digital design and modelling tools (e.g., HADES, InfoWorks, EPANET).
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage technical delivery.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within UK and international teams.
