Our Client has a requirement for a Quantity Surveyor, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Reading.
Role Purpose:
To provide full lifecycle commercial and contract management support on secure, high-assurance infrastructure projects within a critical national programme. The role involves working on classified built environment assets, where security clearance and commercial integrity are essential.
Job Role Responsibilities:
- Manage cost and commercial activities from tender through to project close-out
- Guide and administer subcontract strategies using NEC suite contracts
- Work collaboratively with Project Managers and Controls teams to deliver commercial objectives
- Ensure accurate cost forecasting, change management, and reporting
- Provide contractual guidance to operational teams and stakeholders
- Resolve commercial and contractual issues proactively
- Support strategic decision-making with delivery and business development teams
Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Law, Engineering, Finance or Commerce (preferred)
- Proven experience in commercial roles within major infrastructure or construction projects
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with NEC3/NEC4 contracts
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Eligible for UK security clearance
