Contract vacancy for an experienced JIRA Configuration Manager to work in our Birmingham office. The role is full time for 6 months.

We are looking for a high energy JIRA guru who will help drive the implementation, maintenance, and expansion of the JIRA tool set across our organization. We heavily utilize JIRA and want to find a person who feels the same and is passionate about the power of agile and how this software can help transform teams within IT and beyond.



What you’ll do:

Being part of a team that builds great software and improves the systems we already have you will be responsible for the Installation, configuration, maintenance and enhancement of our configuration management tool suite. You'll be recommending operational efficiencies, eliminating unnecessary work efforts and removing unwanted complexities; creating and implementing new procedures and workflows, ensuring systems are stable and available and that user issues are addressed in a timely manner; work closely with all teams to align requirements where possible and to introduce new concepts and approaches to problems; working with JIRA to enable custom workflows, fields, dashboards and reports; manage system access across groups to ensure compliance and maintain best practices

Great experience working with Atlassian Tool Suite and CI integration History working in software development environments and supporting the Atlassian toolset Good written and oral communications skills to support development and implementation of work instructions & audits Full time working in Birmingham project office


Who You Are

•Great experience working with JIRA

•History working in Linux environments and supporting the Atlassian toolset from a stability and performance perspective

•Solid understanding of project management methodologies

•Ability to work independently with minimal guidance in a fast-paced environment

•Able to analyse and review current functionality to determine potential areas of improvement

•Must be highly organized, you’re someone who loves to keep data nice and clean

•Ability to enjoy what you do and a true love for improving processes through technology

•Demonstrate excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers

•Strong work ethic with good time management and the ability to work with diverse teams
