Dave Hughes takes part in Dryathlon for Cancer Research UK

First Recruitment Group have sponsored contractor Dave Hughes who is taking part in the Dryathlon for Cancer Research UK.

Dave commented,

“My wife and I both gave up drinking on New Years Eve and since then have not had any alcohol (even though the commitment was only for January). The main reason behind this is that we have both felt better than at any time in recent years, and even though we weren’t heavy drinkers, it is certainly paying off health wise. As we live in France, I can’t say that we will stop totally, because we both enjoy the local wines, but I can say I will never drink spirits again and any future drinking of wine or beer will certainly be in moderation.

Between us we have collected around £750.00 for Cancer Research, which I think is great and is all down to the people who have supported us. All in all, they have collected around 3.6 million for Cancer Research - in just one month. Incredible eh, especially as we are deep in recession and money is tight for a lot of people.”
