The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and how we use data to bring the right candidates and clients together

24 May 2018

We are focused on making our candidates and our clients happy, by effectively placing candidates into the right job roles. It’s part of our vision.

How do we do this?

We carefully analyse our candidate’s data to match their skills, qualifications, and vital information with the right clients around the world.

It is of the utmost importance that we handle all data with care, collecting and storing it securely.

We have therefore updated our Privacy Notice, explaining how we manage personal information, how it is shared, and why it is important to us.

Please take the time to read our updated Privacy Notice here.

Refining our processes

We have worked hard over the past 12 months to ensure we are fully compliant with the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), effective as of Friday 25th May. Some key highlights:

  • Appointing a GDPR Responsible Person to manage our activity. The position brings vast compliance experience within the recruitment industry.
  • Working closely with recruitment industry body, APSCo, along with our senior management team to ensure our policies and procedures are compliant
  • Training all our staff to ensure they handle your data correctly
  • Working with some of our clients to share knowledge and ensure we both operate compliantly

Our GDPR journey does not stop here though. We are fully committed to monitoring and measuring our activities surrounding personal data to ensure your information is safe with us.

If you would like further information on our policy, or if you are a client and would like support on your own compliance, please contact us on data.manager@firstrg.com
