National Programme Implementation Manager
Contract Length: 12 months
Location: Cumbria
IR35: Inside
Security Clearance: BPSS (Basic Disclosure)

My Client is currently looking for a National Programme implementation manger for a contract role based in Cumbria

Minimum Requirement: Knowledge of regulatory and legislative frameworks relevant to radioactive waste management (Environmental Permits etc.);

Essential:
• Degree in an environmental, science, engineering or other relevant discipline;
• In-depth knowledge of the UK Low level waste Policy and UK Strategy for Management of Solid Low Level Waste and the wider waste management policy / strategy framework;
• Knowledge of regulatory and legislative frameworks relevant to radioactive waste management (Environmental Permits etc.);
• Understanding of radioactive waste management practice in the UK;
• Highly self-motivated and able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision;
• Ability to effectively manage a diverse, varied and busy workload;
• Be able to provide evidence of having good communication skills across all levels of organisations and the ability to tailor communication mode / style to different audiences;
• Strong presentation skills;
• Ability to communicate complex information to a broad range of stakeholders;
• Experience of collaborative working with other organisations;
• Exceptional report writing skills;
• Good IT proficiency, including use of Excel, Visio and PowerPoint;
• Relevant experience of waste management, working in the nuclear industry or consultancy.

Desirable:
• Ability to pro-actively identify and mitigate strategic risks;
• Experience of working directly with external stakeholders at different levels of their organisations
• Experience of presenting to senior industry managers and regulators;
• Experience of planning, facilitating and reporting of meetings / workshops and meetings with stakeholders;
• Can demonstrate having the ability to engage others and work as part of a wider team;
• Knowledge the UK Low Level Waste Inventory;
• Knowledge of the Low Level Waste management services offered by Low Level Waste Repository Ltd;
• Knowledge of current and future estate-wide Low Level Waste management facilities and capabilities;
• Experience of strategic programme and project management
