What you put in, is what you get out: Salary benefits

  • Starting salary between £35k - £40,000 per annum dependent on experience plus a lucrative, realistic, and achievable commission scheme.
  • UNCAPPED commission, with typical earnings of around £7500-8000 per quarter depending on experience, giving you the chance to potentially earn commission of around £32,000 per annum on top of your basic salary!  
  • A 5% bonus scheme paid twice yearly for demonstrating company core values and meeting our company performance target, earning up to £2,000 per annum.

Total expected earnings: £74,000 per annum (uncapped), meaning you can build on this as you build your career with us.

First Recruitment Group is made up of four well-established business streams: First Technical, Talascend, Primis, and Operam. In these teams, encompass our Recruitment Consultants from Trainee Recruitment Consultants right through to highly experienced Recruitment Consultants. 

The role of a Principal Recruitment Consultant

  • Lead and manage end-to-end recruitment projects, collaborating closely with clients to understand their project requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive project recruitment strategies, including candidate sourcing plans, assessment methodologies, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Utilise a variety of sourcing techniques, such as direct sourcing, networking, and database searches, to identify and attract top-quality candidates.
  • Conduct thorough candidate screening and assessments, evaluating skills, qualifications, and cultural fit for project-specific roles.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates on project progress, managing expectations, and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Manage project budgets and resources, ensuring efficient utilisation of recruitment tools, technologies, and external vendors.
  • Lead and mentor a team of recruitment consultants, providing guidance, support, and training to enhance their project management capabilities.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and emerging best practices in project recruitment, applying insights to improve project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless project execution and alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Drive business growth by identifying new project opportunities, expanding existing accounts, and cultivating strategic partnerships.

Career Path:

  • Focused on manging client and candidate relationships? This role has the potential to develop into a Client Development Manager within the first two years of joining. In this type of role, you will eventually manage some of First Recruitment Group’s largest clients!

What do we look for in a Principal Recruitment Consultant?

  • Proven experience as a Senior Recruitment Consultant with a strong focus on managing and delivering recruitment projects for the past two years.
  • Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices, with a track record of successfully leading complex recruitment projects.
  • Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to develop project plans, manage timelines, and allocate resources effectively.
  • Strong client relationship management abilities, with the capability to build and nurture long-term partnerships.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Advanced sourcing and candidate assessment capabilities, with experience utilising a range of sourcing techniques and assessment methodologies.
  • Leadership qualities, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve project goals and deliver outstanding results.
  • Sound understanding of relevant industry regulations, compliance, and ethical recruitment practices.
  • Proficiency in recruitment software, applicant tracking systems, and other project management tools.
