Role Purpose: Our client is seeking an EC&I Designer to work on a contract basis in Warrington. The role involves providing technical construction expertise for a nuclear project and contributing to project activities, ensuring design compliance with industry standards.
Job Role Responsibilities:
- Ensure design is in line with required Regulatory, Customer, and Company standards.
- Deliver, supervise, and verify EC&I engineering design deliverables to meet cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
- Oversee team progress and reporting, managing and coordinating the EC&I team on the project.
- Interface coordination with other engineering disciplines for seamless collaboration.
- Conduct appropriate engineering reviews to maintain the quality of design deliverables.
- Identify discipline resource needs and support in the recruitment process.
- Manage design change and configuration effectively, implementing change requests.
Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:
- Previous experience in existing Sellafield plants or brown field sites is highly desirable.
- Ideally, an Incorporated/Chartered Engineer or working towards gaining professional status.
- Experience at all levels will be considered.
- Ability to produce and maintain key deliverable documents, reports, calculations, schedules, etc.
- Liaise and coordinate with other design disciplines and plant engineering.
- Support the CE&I design team in meetings and reviews.
- Design in accordance with the IET 18th edition (BS7671) and familiarity with CAE tools (e.g., AutoCAD, CAESAR, PDMS).
