Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Offshore Operations team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the safe and cost-effective production of our operated assets. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will provide essential support and assurance services, contributing to the reliability and efficiency of mechanical equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all activities adhere to safety regulations, legislation, and company procedures, with a focus on Major Accident Events (MAE), Major Accidents to the Environment (MATTE), and Health, Safety, Environment & Security (HSES).
- Monitor equipment and system performance, proactively initiating corrective actions when necessary.
- Provide discipline engineering and maintenance support to our UK operations, both offshore and onshore.
- Contribute to long-term facility modification and maintenance plans, ensuring cost-effective operation and asset integrity.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to manage equipment performance, spare parts, warranties, and obsolete equipment.
- Manage vendor delivery for assigned contracts, ensuring robust contract management processes are followed.
- Identify and address technical issues through Technical Queries, driving continuous improvement in engineering performance and cost efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Chartered Engineer Status and Corporate Membership of a professional body preferred.
- Strong understanding of HSE processes and UK regulatory environment.
- Previous experience in a similar technical role, ideally within the offshore energy sector.
- Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and instigate change.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills.
