Are you seeking a new opportunity within the Marine sector? This role could be for you!
A Senior Marine Systems Engineer is required to work on an initial 12 month contract basis that will be outside IR35 and allow you to work on a fully remote set up.
As the Senior Marine Systems Engineer, you will support activities worldwide on different projects and provide technical leadership within the naval and marine operation discipline. Supporting review and monitoring of currently ongoing projects for new floating LNG and FPSO facilities.
The main functions of this role will include, but not be limited to:
- As the Senior Marine Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for preparation of technical specifications and functional requirements for the marine systems in FPSO and FLNG, during the Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) and execution on FPSO/FLNG projects.
- Monitoring, follow-on and review of FEED and EPC LNG projects and projects marine system equipment/P&IDs/PFDs.
- As the Senior Marine Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for providing assistance to the company during Technical Clarification meetings and projects HAZID/HAZOP.
Candidate's qualifications, professional experience and skills
- As the Senior Marine Systems Engineer, you must have specific skill sets in the design of cargo loading, storage and offtake systems, LNG tanks, slop and drain systems, bilge and ballast systems, Inert Gas, production required for the position distribution and venting, diesel and gas power generation and their auxiliary systems, fresh water production, compressed air, etc.
- Candidate must have skills and experience on preparation and review of projects P&IDs/PFDs relevant to marine systems.
- As the Senior Marine Systems Engineer, you will have knowledge of Classification Society Rules, SOLAS, MARPOL as applicable to FPSO and FLNG would be a major advantage for this position.
- Experience of working on or monitoring of FEED and EPC LNG projects, Seagoing experience as second/chief engineer, experience in working with Oil Tankers/ LNG Carriers, past Experience as a Classification Society surveyor or Tanker/LNG Ship Vetting engineer.
- As the Senior Marine Systems Engineer, experience in active participation on project's HAZID/HAZOP is required
