Principal Structural Engineer (Detailed Design)

Surrey London (3 days per week in the office)

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented Principal Structural Engineer with expertise in detailed design to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality structural engineering solutions in accordance with industry standards and regulations. Responsibilities:

Perform detailed design calculations following Saipem's requirements and industry standards such as DNV GL, API, AISC, EC, and Norsok.
Review, comment, and approve structural drawings for steel structures based on engineering design specifications.
Prepare comprehensive design reports and maintain accurate records in accordance with department procedures.
Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with Saipem's policies on health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (B.Eng, M.Eng, M.Sc).
Extensive experience in the offshore energy industry with a proven track record of delivering high-quality structural engineering solutions.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex engineering problems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to work effectively within a small team and collaborate with colleagues across different disciplines.

Software Proficiency:

Proficient in MS Excel and hand calculations for engineering analysis.
Experience with STAAD for structural analysis and design.
Familiarity with GT STRUDL for structural analysis and design is preferred.
