Role Overview:
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in providing discipline engineering support to our UK operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of instrumentation systems, while adhering to regulatory requirements and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all activities are conducted safely and environmentally responsibly, in full compliance with regulatory requirements, legislation, and company procedures.
  • Define equipment and systems to meet performance standards and specifications, particularly for new equipment installations and upgrades.
  • Monitor equipment and system performance, proactively identifying and initiating corrective actions to address any issues or deficiencies.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance support to UK operations, ensuring the integrity and reliability of instrumentation systems.
  • Contribute to the development of long-term facility modification and maintenance plans, optimizing asset integrity and cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage budget input and scope for maintenance and modification projects, driving cost efficiencies and maximizing value.
  • Identify and resolve complex technical issues, raising Technical Queries where necessary and challenging engineering performance and costs to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Prepare detailed work packages for the execution of preventive maintenance programs, coordinating material delivery and managing specialist vendor resources as needed.
  • Manage equipment performance, including spare part management, warranty follow-up, and planning for obsolete equipment to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
  • Ensure robust contract management and vendor delivery for assigned contracts, maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and contractors.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent (HND/HNC), with relevant qualifications and experience in instrumentation engineering.
  • Chartered Engineer Status and Corporate Membership of a professional body preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of HSE objectives and the UK regulatory environment, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental performance.
  • Familiarity with budgeting, maintenance, and project management processes, with the ability to drive continuous improvement and implement change.
  • Proven leadership skills with a focus on teamwork, collaboration, and achieving results.
  • Significant operational and engineering experience, including offshore environments and the management of complex technical systems.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships internally and externally.
