Controls Systems/Software Engineer

Start date: ASAP

Duration: Staff, Full Time

Aberdeen

After a scheduled training period, this role will become Hybrid working, with the opportunity to work 3 Days in office/2 Days at home.

Our client is currently looking for somebody to join and support the ROV Assets & Operations team, for entire ROV & UID fleet deployed globally.

The main responsibilities will include:

Knowledge and experience of Software Control Systems and HMI (Human Machine Interfaces) at all levels.
Information Communication Technology (ICT) and Networking experience.
Good Electronic/Electrical background.
Knowledge of Automated and PLC Control Systems.
Capability to maintain, install, update/modify and diagnose faults/issues with ROV/UID Control System Software, both locally and via remote interface.
Diagnose. Maintain, install electronics (sensors, I/O Modules, PLC, etc).
Strong technical ability with great communication skills, to be able to liaise with all levels.
Ability to work offshore, if required, and make visits to remote worksite.
Experience/knowledge of Offshore Subsea Survey and positioning and data acquisition would be beneficial.

You should have the following experience:

Required

Academic qualification within a relevant discipline.
Experience with Programming Software. (Training/guidance and support will be provided on our specific Software and Ctrl Systems).
Proficient in the use of Microsoft and Computer applications.
Offshore medical and survival certificates, (Not essential as Training will be provided).
