Role
Our Client has a requirement for a Mechanical Weld Inspector, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Humber.
Job Role Responsibilities:

The Role of the Weld Inspector will report to the Quality Manager and work in collaboration with the wider weld engineering cabability; supporting Projects and Programmes of work as well as providing independent assurance of welding arrangements and activities

Conduct front line inspection within the fabrication shops – steel work and piping and complete inspection reporting

Carry out NDT and associated paperwork

Ensure compliance with controlling documentation

Liaise with Client Inspectors
- Compile documentation packages (LTRs) concurrently
Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:
- >3 Years experience working within Mechanical and Weld Inspection and Testing
- Good working knowledge of Health & Safety
- Good knowledge and understanding of welding and NDT techniques
- Some experience of working within a Nuclear regulated industry
- Knowledge of ISO 3834 and BSEN 1090
- Experience in both steel fabrication and pipework
- CSWIP 3.1
- Lead Auditor
- Rad Interp L2
- PCN L2 – MPI / DPI
