Opportunity Overview
Are you an experienced Project Manager with a passion for delivering transformative roads and transportation projects? We are currently partnering with one of the world’s leading engineering and professional services consultancies, who are expanding their Roads & Active Travel team in Cork.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead multi-disciplinary design teams, manage complex project lifecycles, and mentor the next generation of engineers—while playing a key role in shaping Ireland’s transport infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities

Project management of multi-discipline roads, active travel, and site development schemes.

Contract and commercial management, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Design management and coordination, overseeing all stages from feasibility to construction.

Mentoring and line management of junior staff members, helping develop their technical and leadership skills.

Work-winning activities, including bid preparation and client engagement.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with:

A Level 8/9 Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent discipline).

Ideally Chartered Engineer status with Engineers Ireland or a recognised equivalent.

Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary transportation projects in Ireland and/or the UK.

Expertise across all project phases: feasibility, planning, design, tendering, and construction.

Strong commercial and contract management skills (PWC, NEC, Irish Conditions of Engagement, etc.).

Comprehensive knowledge of relevant standards and specifications (TII, NTA, etc.).

A collaborative approach, with excellent communication and client relationship skills.

A full Irish or EU driving licence.
