Our Client has a requirement for a CE&I Electrical Systems Design Lead, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Warrington (Hybrid).
Role Purpose:
- Lead CE&I electrical systems design for major infrastructure projects, including cooling tower and local engineering initiatives.
- Oversee design development from concept through detailed design, ensuring delivery to time, cost, and quality requirements.
- Provide technical support and guidance across all aspects of CE&I engineering.
- Collaborate closely with multi-discipline teams to achieve integrated design outcomes.
- Take ownership of design delivery and ensure alignment with project objectives and milestones.
- Work as part of an integrated design team to produce high-quality engineering deliverables.
- Prepare and review key project documents, including:
- Project Requirement Documents
- Basis of Design
- Project Verification Plans
- Quality Plans
- Design Justification Reports
- Independently determine and define project requirements.
- Review and check design documentation and CE&I deliverables prepared by senior designers.
- Estimate hours and schedule for scope changes or additional works.
- Support and participate in design reviews, ensuring design integrity and compliance.
- Produce reports and documentation compliant with CDM regulations.
- Interface with multidisciplinary project teams throughout all project phases.
Job Role Responsibilities:
Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:
Essential:
- Proven experience in managing design delivery teams.
- Strong understanding of Machinery Safety and UKCA Marking.
- Demonstrated experience in process instrumentation design.
- Skilled in electrical power and services design at LV level.
- Familiarity with CE&I design processes, deliverables, and documentation standards.
- Experience working within established management systems.
- Proficiency in estimating, scheduling, and progress reporting.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Desirable:
- Experience with programmable electronic systems.
- Knowledge of radiometric instrumentation.
