Our Client has a requirement for an Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineer, who will be required to work on a contract basis at their office in Warrington.
Role Purpose of the EC&I Engineer
To provide Electrical, Control & Instrumentation engineering design and support services for a range of projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards, specifications, and project objectives.
Job Role Responsibilities of the EC&I Engineer
- Carry out site surveys, visits, and client meetings
- Prepare EC&I cable routing drawings and cable schedules
- Deliver EC&I engineering design and documentation
- Produce electrical cable diagrams and loop diagrams
- Develop EC&I installation scope of work documents
- Prepare EC&I datasheets and associated documentation
- Check and approve engineering design deliverables
- Prepare vendor packs for invitation to tender and liaise with vendors
- Conduct technical evaluations of estimates and supplier bids
- Coordinate with other disciplines (process, piping, mechanical, civil/structural) to align design requirements
- Provide technical assistance for equipment specifications and bid compliance
Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications of the EC&I Engineer
- Minimum HNC in Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineering (Degree preferred)
- Proven experience in EC&I design, calculations, and technical problem-solving
- Demonstrated ability to deliver projects to specification, within budget and timescales
- Experience representing EC&I discipline at client and project meetings
- Working knowledge of ATEX Directives for electrical equipment in hazardous areas (beneficial)
- Experience with distribution and motor control systems (desirable)
- Familiarity with Pro/ENGINEER software (advantageous)
