Role
Location: Redhill, Chester, Leeds, Swansea, Birmingham
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior CAD/BIM Technician to support the delivery of water, wastewater, and environmental projects. This role will focus on the production, coordination, and technical delivery of CAD and BIM outputs, ensuring compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and coordinate complex 2D drawings, 3D models, and technical deliverables.
- Lead the development of CAD/BIM outputs from engineering designs, mark-ups, and calculations.
- Support multidisciplinary project teams to ensure coordinated project delivery.
- Identify and resolve design clashes, inconsistencies, and technical issues.
- Undertake technical reviews and checking of CAD/BIM deliverables.
- Support BIM and information management processes, including ISO 19650 principles.
- Contribute to the development of CAD/BIM standards, workflows, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor and support junior technicians and share technical best practice.
Requirements
- HNC, HND, or equivalent technical qualification.
- Significant experience producing engineering CAD and BIM deliverables.
- Experience within water, wastewater, utilities, or environmental projects.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawing standards, CAD/BIM workflows, and multidisciplinary project delivery.
- Experience using one or more of the following:
- Autodesk Civil 3D
- Autodesk Revit
- Autodesk AutoCAD
- Autodesk Navisworks
Desirable
- EngTech registration.
- Knowledge of ISO 19650.
- Experience coordinating and reviewing digital deliverables across multiple disciplines.
