Looking for a role where you can play a key part in supporting the successful delivery of complex programmes and projects?
Our Client has a requirement for a Project Support Officer, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Helensburgh.
Role Purpose
The Project Support Officer will provide administrative, governance, and coordination support across a portfolio of programmes and projects. Working closely with senior stakeholders and project teams, you will support project delivery through the effective management of governance processes, stakeholder engagement, documentation, reporting, and meeting administration.
Job Role Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and governance support across a portfolio of projects and programmes.
- Support the development and ongoing management of project outputs, ensuring alignment with established governance frameworks and organisational priorities.
- Coordinate governance meetings and provide secretariat support.
- Prepare agendas, meeting packs, presentations, minutes, action logs, and project trackers.
- Monitor progress against actions and maintain accurate records of project status and forward plans.
- Support the development and maintenance of risk and issue registers.
- Engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders to support delivery objectives.
- Ensure project documentation is appropriately maintained, managed, stored, and communicated.
- Support reporting activities and provide administrative assistance to project and programme teams.
- Assist with stakeholder coordination and communication activities.
Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications
Essential
- Strong Microsoft 365 skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Proven experience in an administrative, project support, PMO support, or governance-focused role.
- Strong governance and meeting management experience, including minute taking and action tracking.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to work independently, use initiative, and proactively resolve issues.
- Experience maintaining project records, trackers, and documentation.
Desirable
- Experience supporting project delivery, PMO, programme management, or governance functions.
- Understanding of project governance, risk management, action tracking, and issue management processes.
- Experience working within highly regulated, engineering, infrastructure, defence, public sector, or complex organisational environments.
- Familiarity with project reporting and project controls activities.
Essential Requirements
- Candidates must be local to site or able to reliably commute to site 2-4 days per week, and travel occasionally to alternative locations for meetings when required.
- Applicants must be Sole British Nationals.
- Candidates must be eligible and willing to obtain SC (Security Check) Clearance.
- Candidates should be able to work autonomously and confidently within a fast-paced project environment.
