Work Scope Objective

Senior Drilling Engineering covering planning and operations supervision, meeting the standards of the company Drilling Management System, HSE Management System, and local industry and Government regulations.

  • Documented well designs as per company Well Management System Policies and Procedures including well AFE, well design notification document, and detailed well programme with all associated documentation including Well Examiner approval and documented close out of any queries.

  • Generation of all permits and consents required to meet the planned spud date. Updates in WONS system as appropriate to comply with Regulatory notifications; Spud, side track, suspensions etc.

  • Interface with all project teams and liaise with internal customers and stakeholders to ensure that all well objectives are understood and met.

  • Co-ordinate all subcontractors to ensure planning interfaces are aligned and seamless operations follow, with excellent communication between all parties.

  • Ensure all activities are planned and executed with HSE at the forefront.

  • Continuous monitoring of all well performance including; HSE, operations, logistics and continuous improvement. QA of all daily reports and other progress updates as required. Performance monitoring in relation to well objectives, and tracking of financial and technical KPI’s including non-conformance reports and incident investigations.

  • Preparation of cost estimates for well design as required, using the standards as described in the company Well Engineering Management System. Responsible for optimising well designs to meet budget constraints and monitoring spend throughout operations to ensure costs are maintained within budget.

  • Prepare end of well reports in a timely manner and ensure all well data is collated and stored in the standard company Oil filing format.

Other Indirect Reports – Well Engineering Manager (Technical Assurance/Compliance)

Qualifications/Certificates

  • Engineering Degree / equivalent / significant experience in a similar position preferably with an operating company.

  • Experience in sand screens and gravel packing completions preferable.

  • Previous North Sea experience with all types of rigs and a variety of operations in particular CNS and jack up experience

  • Valid IWCF Well Control Level 4 (Supervisor) certification.

  • Valid Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training (BOSIET).

  • Valid medical certification.
