Purpose of the Position
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Industrial Relations Advisor to join our Energy Carriers Division on a major onshore carbon capture project based in North Wales. You will play a key role in supporting the successful implementation of local industrial agreements with multiple trade unions and stakeholders. This is a pivotal opportunity to be at the forefront of one of the UK’s flagship carbon reduction projects.
Key Responsibilities
As Industrial Relations Advisor, your core responsibilities will include:

Trade Union Engagement:
Build and maintain transparent, constructive, and compliant relationships with local, national, and international trade unions and employers’ organisations. -
Agreement Development & Compliance:
Contribute to the definition and negotiation of relevant Industrial Instruments (e.g., NAECI, Supplementary Project Agreements) and ensure their correct interpretation and application across all project teams. -
Project-Level Coordination:
Manage and coordinate the overall industrial relations framework for the project, including subcontractor compliance, ensuring alignment with trade union deliverables and labour laws. -
Culture & Ethics:
Champion a culture rooted in respect for human rights, workforce welfare, and positive employee relations. Assist Sustainability teams in collecting data for reporting and promoting workplace well-being. -
Crisis & Media Management:
Support the business in the management of industrial activities during M&As or disputes, ensuring coordination with external communication teams when issues may become public. -
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Act as the central point of contact for HR, Line Management, and Sustainability teams, offering expert advice and strategic direction on all industrial relations matters.
Candidate Profile
Education:
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Relations, Labour Law, Human Resources, or a related field.
Experience:
-
Proven track record in negotiating and managing complex industrial agreements such as NAECI and Supplementary Project Agreements.

Demonstrated success working on large-scale infrastructure, energy, or construction projects.
Skills & Knowledge:

Deep understanding of UK employment law, industrial instruments, and trade union practices.

Ability to influence and negotiate with key stakeholders.

Strong interpersonal, advisory, and organisational skills.
Languages:

Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Our Client has a requirement for an Environmental Manager, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Glasgow.
Role Purpose:
- The Environmental Manager is responsible to the Programme Manager for all environmental matters throughout the programme lifecycle. This includes a wide range of aspects including involvement in design development and impact assessments, oversight of Contractor works on site, support to business case and governance processes, interface with Base & Statutory stakeholders, and coordination with other departments & programmes of work.
- This role will sit within the Programme HSQE team, working closely with the H&S and Quality Managers to support the delivery of this complex and sensitive programme.
Job Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the Client’s Environmental Management System.
- Coordination and liaison with stakeholders including Base departments, Statutory Bodies, and other DIO departments & programmes of work.
- Oversee environmental aspects of supply chain partner operations for both pre-construction and construction phase activities.
- Support Project Managers and promote sustainability and environmental ethos throughout their processes and workstreams.
- Continual monitoring of environmental compliance, including environmental incident reporting and monitoring across projects.
- Ensure environmental processes meet the needs of stakeholders and fall in line with HSQE processes in place.
- Development and execution of an environmental audit regime to demonstrate control of project environmental aspects.
Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:
Essential:
- SC security clearance (minimum), or the ability to obtain in advance of employment.
- Minimum 5 years of demonstrable environmental management experience (preferable in civils works).
- Knowledge of the processes associated with EIA, CIRAM, Consents and Planning, ISO14001 / BREAM / DREAM / CEEQUAL.
- Document and EMS control experience.
- Good report and documentation writing experience.
- Marine / terrestrial experience with understanding of Scottish environmental laws and regulation.
- Flexible and proactive personality, keen to improve their experience and support the demands of the role.
- Must bring professionalism and high standard of communication to the Programme.
Desirable:
- Baseline undergraduate degree or equivalent.
- Chartered membership of relevant body.
- SEAT and/or POEMS training
- Experience in a Government environmental body
