Product Safety Engineer




One of our main clients has an urgent requirement for a Product Safety Engineer to be based at their offices in Bristol on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a large engineering company who are working on industry leading projects across multiple sectors.


My client look to deliver individual project to cater to their customer’s needs using a range of asset and technology based solutions.


As Product Safety Engineer you will be working within a team responsible for the ‘platform’ safety elements for in-service submarines, including both electrical and mechanical aspects. You will be responding to and solving real-time engineering issues, as well as working on long-term safety related projects.


My client would be keen to speak to candidates with the following expertise:

  • Experience of constructing safety case reports or assessments in line with contracted requirements.

  • Knowledge and experience in the implementation of a Safety Management system.  Note this is a Product Safety role not an OHSE.  

  • Experience of hazard identification and analysis, hazard log management, risk assessment and ALARP justifications and through life safety case management.

  • Understanding and application of a range of common Safety management tools, techniques and practices.

  • Experience of collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders supported by strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • The ability to work to schedule and co-ordinate tasks as well as managing emergent issues.
