What you put in, is what you get out: Salary benefits

  • Negotiable dependent on experience plus a lucrative, realistic, and achievable commission scheme.
  • UNCAPPED commission, with typical earnings of £7500-8000 per quarter depending on experience, potentially making your commission take home £32,000 per annum on top of your basic salary!  
  • A bonus scheme paid twice yearly for demonstrating company core values and meeting our company wide target, earning up to £2,000 per annum.

Total expected earnings: £74,000 per annum (uncapped), meaning you can build on this as you build your career with us.

First Recruitment Group (Birchwood, Warrington) has seen extraordinary growth since establishing itself in 1997. We are a global company with teams across the UK and internationally. We operate across Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Chemicals, Water, Aerospace & Defence, and most recently, the IT sector.

First Recruitment Group is made up of four well-established business streams: First Technical, Talascend, Primis, and Operam. In these teams, encompass our Recruitment Consultants from Trainee Recruitment Consultants right through to highly experienced Recruitment Consultants. 

The role of a Managing Recruitment Consultant

  • Provide strong leadership and direction to the recruitment team, setting goals, managing performance, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key clients, understanding their talent requirements, and delivering tailored recruitment solutions.
  • Work closely with clients to develop effective talent acquisition strategies, including sourcing plans, candidate engagement approaches, and employer branding initiatives.
  • Oversee the sourcing and assessment of candidates for diverse positions, ensuring a thorough evaluation of skills, qualifications, and cultural fit.
  • Drive business growth by identifying and pursuing new client opportunities, expanding existing accounts, and building a strong pipeline of recruitment projects.
  • Oversee and manage the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring compliance with established procedures and delivering a seamless experience for clients and candidates.
  • Monitor recruitment metrics, analyse data, and provide regular reports to clients and management, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and emerging recruitment practices, providing valuable insights to clients and the team.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and training to the recruitment team, supporting their professional development and enhancing their skills and capabilities.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, such as job boards, recruitment agencies, and technology providers, to optimise recruitment resources and outcomes.

What do we look for in a Managing Recruitment Consultant?

  • Proven experience as a Senior Recruitment Consultant, with a particular focus on managing recruitment projects and leading teams.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve targets and goals.
  • Excellent client relationship management abilities, demonstrating a client-centric approach and the capacity to cultivate long-term partnerships.
  • Solid understanding of recruitment best practices, sourcing techniques, and candidate assessment methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement and influence with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, adept at addressing recruitment challenges and implementing successful solutions.
  • Proficiency in recruitment software, applicant tracking systems, and other relevant tools.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry regulations, compliance requirements, and ethical recruitment practices.
  • Results-oriented mindset, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding recruitment targets while delivering high-quality services.
