A Pipeline Bundle Engineer is required to work on either an outside IR35 contract basis or a permanent staff basis based in Aberdeen that will allow a hybrid working set up.

Responsibilities

• As the Pipeline Bundle Engineer, you will have responsibility for a particular design and services required to ensure effective delivery of high-quality engineering to meet project commercial and technical needs. The scope will include studies and tenders as well as projects.
• As the Pipeline Bundle Engineer, you will provide relevant skills, integrity and knowledge in rigid subsea pipeline, Bundle and spool engineering including design codes, legislative requirements, Client specifications, and industry engineering practice.
• Carry out subsea pipeline and spool design analysis using available tools and software such as Abaqus, CAESAR II, DNV tools, Mathcad spreadsheets in house software or similar software.
• As the Pipeline Bundle Engineer, you will take responsibility for production of high-quality deliverables including design reports, calculation sheets, FE analysis, general arrangement and isometric drawings engineering checks and material take-off.
• Provide engineering support to Tendering teams, Project teams, Field Development group and other stakeholders.
• As the Pipeline Bundle Engineer, you will operate within standardized engineering processes and systems in the Business Management and Knowledge Management Centre.
• Ensure all relevant safety objectives and legislation requirements are observed.
• Manage all external (clients, subcontractors) and internal interfaces.
• Provide pipeline and spool engineering support for the execution of multi-discipline projects in line with defined budget and schedule.
• As the Pipeline Bundle Engineer, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders such as project engineering managers, engineering departments, project personnel and supply chain management.
• Participate actively in pipeline and Bundle department know-how consolidation and propose innovative solutions to reduce cost as well as risk.
• As the Pipeline Bundle Engineer, you will train junior and graduate engineers.

Required experience

• As the Pipeline Bundle Engineer, you will have an in-depth knowledge of subsea pipeline engineering subsea spool and/or bundle design, including design codes, standards, and applicable software tools
• Experienced in pipeline and/or spool FEA based design and analysis using ABAQUS and CAESAR II
• As the Pipeline Bundle Engineer, you will have experience of delivery of pipeline spool design and/or bundle engineering, including in-place analysis
• Experience in pipeline in-place design and trawling analysis
• Experience in spool design analysis
• As the Pipeline Bundle Engineer, you will have previous experience with scripting (Python, VBA) or general software development and programming
• Chartered Engineer (or Equivalent) or working towards such with a recognised Engineering body is preferable.
• Fluency in English is essential for this role.
