Our client seeks a proficient and dedicated Senior Electrical Services Engineer to join their team on a contract basis at Devonport

Role Purpose:

The primary purpose of this role is to assist the Discipline Lead in delivering electrical engineering work packages to meet predetermined scopes, maintaining high-quality standards within the designated schedule and cost.

Job Role Responsibilities:

Assist the Discipline Lead in managing technical deliverables of electrical engineering packages in adherence to agreed plans.
Work within the Major Infrastructure Projects Business Unit, contributing to the successful delivery of technical outputs.
Prepare and review designs, reports, specifications, and other pertinent documents for nuclear and non-nuclear plant systems.
Contribute to problem-solving and the development of technical solutions for deficiencies or new designs.
Supervise and provide guidance to junior staff, ensuring the transfer of knowledge and skill development.
Collaborate with various teams to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, legislation, and safety standards.

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:

Hold a degree or HND in an appropriate engineering discipline.
Chartered Engineer status or working towards Chartership.
Experience in electrical building services, low voltage distribution systems, control & instrumentation, and communications systems.
Proficiency in managing complex design development throughout the design lifecycle.
Strong project management, planning, and budgeting skills.
Familiarity with relevant engineering office computer applications.
Prior experience supporting construction, operation, or refit/repair of submarines and/or facilities.
