Our Client has a requirement for a Project Engineering Manager, who will be required to work on a contract basis in London.

 

Role Purpose:

The Project Engineering Manager  will have the primary responsibility for the technical delivery of projects across pre-FEED, FEED, Detail Design and Construction.

This is a dynamic role that will require your strong communication and leadership skills as well as problem-solving skills to lead SME’s and multi-discipline teams and to drive efficient and effective project delivery.  

As Project Engineering Manager, you will be directly involved in delivering engineering management on innovative energy transition projects from FEED through construction.  You’ll oversee a multidiscipline engineering team and be supported by a strong group of project based and digital specialists.

 

Job Role Responsibilities:

  • You will need to demonstrate the ability to effectively interface all engineering activities including multiple client  offices, third party engineering services and clients.
  • A strong safety leader, driving suitable attitudes and behaviours and promoting the clients safety culture
  • Managing the entire engineering project work scope and resources on a given project
  • Ensuring that engineering delivery meets scope, time, cost and quality
  • Monitoring and reporting on engineering progress
  • Identifying and addressing cross-discipline issues and conflicts to ensure overall engineering input is coherent
  • Leading the technical input required for tender / bid submissions
  • Demonstrates full commitment to all health and safety matters and provides safety leadership to the project team.
  • Satisfies all requirements of project safety compliance including Safety by Design, Constructability, and Maintainability.
  • Defines and selects the team required to deliver the scope of work.
  • Effectively leads project team comprised of multi‐discipline/ multi‐location members.
  • Set clear objectives for the project team including scope, schedule, productivity, and budget targets.
  • Oversees, motivates, and monitors the performance of the team, ensuring quality and timeliness of assignments and roles, and addressing any performance gaps.
  • Experienced in preparing Project Execution Plans covering all aspects of the scope.
  • Has considered previous lessons learned as inputs to planning the project execution.
  • Manages execution, coordination, and implements regular reviews/controls to track project progress.
  • Good understanding of Project Control Reports, identifies problem areas, and implements recovery plans.
  • Interprets and understands key elements of the project schedule and resource plan.

 

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:

  • Supervisory experience, project management and/or technical experience; Workshare experience; E, EP Project experience.
  • Degree qualified (Engineering).
  • Must have strong onshore project experience.
  • Experience working on Middle East projects is a plus but not essential.
