Our Client has a requirement for a Site-Based Electrical Design Engineer, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Cheshire

Role Purpose: The Site-Based Electrical Design Engineer will play a pivotal role in planning and delivering an Electrical Engineering Maintenance program. They will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and compliance with regulatory standards.

Job Role Responsibilities:

  • Plan and schedule electrical maintenance works to ensure timely completion and optimal performance.
  • Manage subcontractors, overseeing their work and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Liaise with vendors to procure necessary materials, specifying requirements accurately to meet project standards.
  • Handle permits to work efficiently, ensuring all necessary actions are taken to maintain safety and compliance.
  • Prepare and plan tasks for DSEAR and ATEX audits, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and best practices.

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant field.
  • Proven experience in both design and site-based environments, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and maintenance practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute electrical maintenance programs effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards, including DSEAR and ATEX, and experience in preparing for audits.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
