Role

Construction Quality Manager – Job Description

  • Implement, maintain, and supervise the Construction Quality Plan throughout the construction phase of the Project.
  • Prepare Project specific quality procedures, as required.
  • Assure compliance with Contract quality requirements, detect non-complying performance areas, and monitor their resolutions by the responsible Project team and management personnel.
  • Review, analyze and offer resolution for non-conforming materials / items.
  • Review and approve Contractor procedures and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) or designate them to responsible persons. 
  • Implement and coordinate project specific specialized procedures including maintenance, surveillance, and oversight of the corrective action systems.
  • Assist in the selection, training, development, and supervision of Quality inspection personnel.
  • Perform various Quality reporting activities.
  • Support Construction in the development, communication, and monitoring of Quality priorities.
  • Participate in the safety process.
  • Coordinate inspection and test groups.
  • Liaison with client QA representatives.
  • Monitor the quality of procured materials and components.
  • Review and control permanent quality records.
  • Responsible for the approval of inspection and test packages for all systems.
  • Responsible for the assembly of QA / QC documents
  • Supervise & direct Third-Party Inspection contracts.
  • Provide data as needed for the monthly and final Project reports. Review of construction Contractor quality deliverable required after Contract award

ESSENTIAL SKILLS
 

  • Experience with working QA in new construction projects in Germany
  • Fluent in both German & English language
  • Minimum of 15 years’ Quality Management experience
  • Experience in Quality management systems implementation, audit, analysis and improvement
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Must be proactive and possess good organizational, communication and inter-personnel skills

    PREFERRED SKILLS
     
  • Practical experience and knowledge of:
  • National and international manufacturing codes and specifications
  • Destructive and non-destructive testing methods;
  • Manufacturing techniques and processes;
  • Quality Assurance and Quality Control specifications, systems and practices;
  • Successful completion of ISO9001:2015 Lead Assessor training course
