Role
Construction Quality Manager – Job Description
- Implement, maintain, and supervise the Construction Quality Plan throughout the construction phase of the Project.
- Prepare Project specific quality procedures, as required.
- Assure compliance with Contract quality requirements, detect non-complying performance areas, and monitor their resolutions by the responsible Project team and management personnel.
- Review, analyze and offer resolution for non-conforming materials / items.
- Review and approve Contractor procedures and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) or designate them to responsible persons.
- Implement and coordinate project specific specialized procedures including maintenance, surveillance, and oversight of the corrective action systems.
- Assist in the selection, training, development, and supervision of Quality inspection personnel.
- Perform various Quality reporting activities.
- Support Construction in the development, communication, and monitoring of Quality priorities.
- Participate in the safety process.
- Coordinate inspection and test groups.
- Liaison with client QA representatives.
- Monitor the quality of procured materials and components.
- Review and control permanent quality records.
- Responsible for the approval of inspection and test packages for all systems.
- Responsible for the assembly of QA / QC documents
- Supervise & direct Third-Party Inspection contracts.
- Provide data as needed for the monthly and final Project reports. Review of construction Contractor quality deliverable required after Contract award
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Experience with working QA in new construction projects in Germany
- Fluent in both German & English language
- Minimum of 15 years’ Quality Management experience
- Experience in Quality management systems implementation, audit, analysis and improvement
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Must be proactive and possess good organizational, communication and inter-personnel skills
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Practical experience and knowledge of:
- National and international manufacturing codes and specifications
- Destructive and non-destructive testing methods;
- Manufacturing techniques and processes;
- Quality Assurance and Quality Control specifications, systems and practices;
- Successful completion of ISO9001:2015 Lead Assessor training course
