Offshore Planner

IR35: PAYE only

Our Client has a requirement for an Offshore Planner, who will be required to work on a staff basis in Barrow-in-Furness this role is a full-time site role on a 2 Year contract.

Role Purpose

The Offshore Planner is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving integrated asset planning processes to support safe, efficient, and reliable offshore operations. The role ensures that short, medium, and long-term plans are robust, prioritised, and aligned with operational objectives whilst supporting the safe execution of offshore activities.

Working closely with Operations, Maintenance, Projects, and support functions, the Offshore Planner will coordinate planning activities, manage interfaces, identify operational constraints, and provide visibility of upcoming workload and resource requirements.

Job Role Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated asset plans for offshore operations, ensuring planning standards and governance processes are followed.
• Compile and facilitate 28-day and 3-month planning cycles, ensuring activities are prioritised, integrated, and executable.
• Provide daily planning support to offshore operations and assist with activity prioritisation in line with safety, integrity, and production objectives.
• Produce and maintain weekly and rolling 4-week schedules.
• Coordinate and integrate activities across Operations, Maintenance, Projects, and Decommissioning teams.
• Identify and manage SIMOPS conflicts, constraints, and operational risks within plans.
• Ensure barrier management and asset integrity considerations are incorporated into planning activities.
• Support operational risk assessments and promote the safe execution of planned activities.
• Contribute to the 8-Quarter planning process, providing long-term visibility of workload, resources, and operational constraints.
• Engage with stakeholders across multiple disciplines to ensure alignment and effective communication of priorities and risks.
• Monitor planning performance, plan attainment, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Provide offshore planning cover for short durations when required.
• Undertake any other associated duties as reasonably required.

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications

• Significant experience in integrated planning within an operational environment.
• Strong working knowledge and experience of Primavera P6 and SAP.
• Experience in Project Management and Project Controls disciplines.
• Understanding of planning, cost management, risk management, and Management of Change (MoC) processes.
• Knowledge of SIMOPS management and operational risk integration.
• Ability to develop and manage integrated schedules across multiple functions and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and data-driven planning capabilities.
• Experience within the oil & gas and/or offshore operations sector.
• Technical qualification or engineering background desirable.
• Project Management and/or Planning qualifications desirable.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
