We're currently representing a leading international engineering and construction organisation delivering one of the most significant energy infrastructure projects in Europe. This landmark programme will play a vital role in supporting Poland's long-term energy future and offers the opportunity to work on a project of national importance.

 

 

 

We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Cost Engineer to join the project controls team, supporting cost management, reporting, forecasting and project performance analysis throughout the EPC delivery phase.

 

 

 

This position will be based in Lubiatowo, Poland, operating on a 10 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotational basis.

 

 

 

The Role

 

As a Project Controls Cost Engineer, you will support cost control and reporting activities across a major EPC project, providing critical cost and performance information to project leadership and key stakeholders.

 

 

 

You will play a key role in monitoring project performance, analysing trends, supporting change management processes, and ensuring the accurate reporting of cost data across the programme.

 

This role is ideally suited to an experienced project controls professional with a strong background in major construction, infrastructure, energy or industrial projects.

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Support project cost control, monitoring and reporting activities.
  • Identify project trends and support change control processes.
  • Prepare and present cost engineering information to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Analyse project scope, quantities, performance and cost data.
  • Support the development and implementation of performance measurement systems.
  • Produce trend analysis and cost forecasts.
  • Develop and maintain project cost estimates and reconciliations.
  • Identify areas of cost risk and opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate cost estimating and pricing methodologies across disciplines.
  • Assist in developing labour productivity assumptions and estimating data.
  • Review labour and resource estimates for accuracy and reasonableness.
  • Support project reporting processes and ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Conduct data analysis, identify issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist with stakeholder reporting and cost performance presentations.

 

 

 

Candidate Requirements

 

  • Polish Citizenship is essential.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Project Controls, Construction Management or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum 10 years' relevant experience, or 12+ years' experience without a degree.
  • Previous experience supporting large-scale construction or EPC projects.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening, background verification and applicable security requirements.
  • Eligibility to obtain required site access authorisations within a highly regulated project environment.

 

 

 

Skills & Experience

 

  • Extensive experience within Project Controls and Cost Engineering functions.
  • Strong knowledge of cost control, forecasting, estimating and reporting principles.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex data analysis.
  • Experience developing and presenting cost engineering deliverables with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience supporting project change management processes, including trend analysis and baseline change proposals.
  • Understanding of engineering, procurement, construction and labour performance reporting methodologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a complex project environment.
  • Experience working across multiple project controls disciplines would be advantageous.

 

 

 

Desirable Experience

 

  • Major infrastructure, energy, nuclear, industrial or heavy construction project experience.
  • Experience using cost management systems such as EcoSys or similar project controls software.
  • Knowledge of EPC project delivery environments.
  • Experience supporting complex stakeholder reporting requirements.
