Are you looking to work across major projects in the Oil & Gas and Offshore Wind sector? This role could be for you!
Multiple Offshore Methods Leads are required to work on either a permanent staff basis or outside IR35 contract basis for a large offshore installation contractor.
This position will offer a hybrid working set up of 3 days per week in the office and 2 days per week working from home.
As the Offshore Methods Lead, you will work with the existing team based on various vessels involved with the installation of foundations for a large offshore wind farm.
The role:
As the Offshore Methods Lead, you will provide on-site engineering services to the Project Manager or Offshore Construction Superintendent to assist in the achievement of project objectives, according to the plan / procedures developed by the engineering project team
Tasks:
The Engineer executes the activities within his area of responsibility, ensuring the compliance with the QA/QC and HSE requirements.
Tasks include:
▪ As the Offshore Methods Lead, you will work in staff with the Offshore Construction Superintendent and report to him
▪ As the Offshore Methods Lead, you will perform all tasks assigned by the Offshore Construction Superintendent, in direct contact with the Offshore Construction Assistant, the master and the chief engineer
▪ Monitor construction/installation etc. progress to ensure acc eptable quality of vessels operations
▪ As the Offshore Methods Lead, you will perform methods of installation when required in offices
▪ Perform maintenance methods when required in the offices
▪ Utilise the electronic daily progress report to monitor and record the actual vs planned activities
▪ Verify sub-contractors performance and assess their operation performance
▪ Liaise with the project personnel and on board responsibles to ensure smooth job preparation and field operations
▪ As the Offshore Methods Lead, you will perform yard activities supervision for the offshore construction
▪ Liaise with asset management for the contract monitoring of the assets
▪ Ensure the application of project engineering in the construction activities
▪ As the Offshore Methods Lead, you will liaise with Client technical representative for all engineering matters
▪ Perform all possible technical verifications on field
