Lead Chemical Process Engineer

Contract: Contract
Location: Denton Office (Tue/Wed/Thu in office, Mon/Fri remote)
IR35: Outside

Role Purpose:
Our client seeks a proficient Lead Chemical Process Engineer for a contract role based primarily at the Denton Office, with a hybrid working model. The role involves overseeing crucial aspects of chemical and pharmaceutical industrial projects.

Job Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead various design aspects including PFD/PID development, equipment data sheets, sizing calculations, and HAZOP attendance.
  • Collaborate with different engineering disciplines for comprehensive project execution.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.
  • Ability to lead other process engineers on larger projects.
  • Willingness to travel for client visits and site surveys within the UK and overseas.

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:

  • Chartered Engineer status
  • 25+ years of experience in chemical and pharmaceutical industrial sectors
  • Strong proficiency in process design, control philosophies, and relief device calculations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience in HAZOP leadership and functional safety is beneficial.
