Role Purpose: As an Engineer specialising in Process within the nuclear sector, this role demands expertise in delivering high-quality project outputs, aligning with regulatory requirements, and fostering client relationships.

Job Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop process engineering deliverables for nuclear projects.
  • Ensure technical integration aligns with regulatory standards.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement within the client’s Nuclear process capability.
  • Manage Process Engineering involvement in small to medium-size projects.
  • Uphold quality and compliance controls within local teams and projects.

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Membership in a recognised Engineering Institute (e.g., IChemE, Nuclear Institute, Energy Institute).
  • Demonstrable experience in high-risk industry design and engineering.
  • Proficiency in concept/front end and detailed design.
  • Expertise in developing Process Flow Diagrams, P&ID’s, equipment datasheets, and specifications.
  • Proficient in standard process engineering calculations.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to foster long-term relationships with stakeholders.
  • Significant design, technical detailing, and specification writing experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Desirable:

  • Chartered Engineer Status.
  • Experience in nuclear industry design engineering.
  • Worked within multi-disciplinary design teams.
  • Managed teams from various levels.
  • Contributed to bids, proposals, and tender specifications.
  • Hazard identification and review experience.
  • Design expertise in hazardous areas/classification.
  • Experience in pressure relief system design.
  • Security Clearance for UK nuclear sector work.
  • Proficiency in software like ABB PEL, AutoCAD P&ID, Visio.
